Take a marketing class.

SCORE Lancaster-Lebanon and ASSETS each provide business planning education through a series of classes. SCORE’s class is 5 weeks, while ASSETS class runs 10 weeks and is slightly more in-depth in content. ASSETS also provides a 5-week intensive marketing training course for women who have already completed ASSETS Learning Circle or Lending Circle. ASSETS, the Lancaster Chamber, Duke Street Business Center, Lancaster City Alliance, and SCORE all frequently host workshops on a range of business topics. 1-on-1 help.

SCORE’s one-on-one mentoring provides excellent general business guidance. Once a satisfactory mentor-mentee relationship is established, SCORE mentors may stay connected with a business mentee from a few months to multiple years. Women who participate in ASSETS Marketing Bootcamp have access to one-on-one support for developing a marketing plan.

Market research and templates.

Duke Street Business Center and SCORE provide marketing guides, resources, and data. SCORE provides guides and templates online. The Duke Street Business Center provides access guides and templates as well as large online databases that can be accessed at the DSBC or online with a Library System of Lancaster County card.

Make a marketing plan.

ASSETS provides a 5-week intensive marketing training course for women who have already completed ASSETS Learning Circle or Lending Circle. SCORE assists in developing marketing plans as part of the mentoring relationship.

Market to local businesses.

The Lancaster City Alliance Merchant Committee provides opportunities for local businesses to directly market their products & services.
